... the Dead Simple Quilt Along over at Lynne's?
Well, I finally did it! Woohoo!
Over the last couple of weeks I sewed all those 5" squares together.
In case you don't remember, this photo of mine was my color palette inspiration:
And here it is. I used the last bit of daylight for a little outdoor shooting.
I'm planning on quilting it with orange peels. I saw it here and immediately knew this was the right design for the Water Lily Quilt. With my new toy FMQ shouldn't be a problem anymore ;-)
Maybe I can do it before christmas (2013, 2014, 2015 ;-)
Have a great week.
xo Sana

AntwortenLöschenBeautiful Sana :)
AntwortenLöschenAbsolutely I remember being fascinated with the colour palette and the fact that I could see the lily. It looks awesome, Sana!!!
AntwortenLöschenHi there! Had dinner with K yesterday and we were wishing you were there with us. The quilt is beautiful and you know I'm completely smitten with your inspiration source ;)
AntwortenLöschenHope you're well. Have been a bit absent in the blogosphere since starting my part-time job but will try to stop in to say hello when I can. The family is good. J's back in school and going to Costa Rica in January. B is starting to get serious about looking for schools. It won't be long and we'll be empty nesters :/ That's just crazy.
Hugs from Austin!
Sooo beautiful. The lily layout is gorgeous. :)
AntwortenLöschenYour top is the perfect representation of your inspiration! Way to go.
